What is Pink?

What is pink?  The colour of roses,

Sprawling over the garden tank.

What is red?  A chilli is red

That spices our delicious chicken dinner.

What is blue?  The ocean is blue.

To swim and surf on a sparkly summer day.

What is white?  A cloud is white.

It looks like a sweet cotton candy. 

What is yellow?  Sun is yellow.

It shines down to us when it’s cold because we need it.

What is green?  The grass is green.

We lie on it like a soft bed.

23 June 2021 WALT: Write an incredible Recount Arbor Day at Lake Ngatu

On Tuesday the whole school went to Lake Ngatu to plant trees around the environment and proofing are skills when we plant trees, flax. We got there quick walking and when we got there I felt excited and was ready to start but I was in shock when one of the Northland Regional Councilman .

I was grouped with Hemi, Levi, Kaiora and the person digging was Mrs Jujnovich. She was digging, then a Northland Regional Councilman and another man from Ngai Takoto were helping us with digging.  When we started I smelt the juicy, sweet smell of cooking sausage sizzle.  The entire school was planting 10 each and altogether we had approximately 2000 plants in the ground. I was amazed and surprised that we planted 2000 plants. That's insane and the plant was in a container and when we squashed it it felt like it was sturdy like a rock. I was struggling to pull it out so Mrs Jujnovich was stepping on it softly. The mud was like quick-sand and squashed when I pushed the mud down. 

After planting we went back to school. On the way we made a tunnel to cheer the parents for helping us with this Project. I had a fantastic day and so did everyone else as well.  My favourite part of the day was cheering the parents, because they deserved it.

Describe a pet

My puppy Nala 

 I have a puppy named Nala.  She is a black bull dog and always in a mood, sometimes she's jealous. She's really silly, a little bit she cuddles up with me.  She is 1.6 foot tall, she is as cute as a kitten and she's quiet as a lion when Nala sleeps in the dark and she wakes up screaming and begging for food and water.  She is sometimes grumpy and always in a bad mood. 

When we go for a ride or for a trip she will vomit and vomit and vomit until we stop.  She will lick me my sister and she goes into gaping holes and gets stuck.  She is really scared of the outside.  She is sometimes lonely and scared.  I talk to my Mum and I would say.  “Should we let Nala in the house?” My 

Mum Anahera thinks that it’s a bad idea to let her in our house.  My puppy’s birthday is in June the 8th.  She looks like a black Chocolate kitkat. Her eyes are brown and light brown and her fur is soft like a pillow.  When I block the hole somehow she will get in and I would be confused and suspicious with her.  All the time I come back home She will 

jump, scratch, bite and bark at me.  And when we leave She Screams until I come back.  She is really really really attached to me and I am attached to her as well. She thinks

she is the princess of the house. I love her so much and I will never forget her.

My Aunty is cute as a kitten and has soft, gingerish, sparkly black hair.  

A sparkly, squishy white face that is as shiny as a new pin.  I make my Aunty smile when I give her lots of hugs.  She gives me a smile of joy, happiness, love and no fear.  My Aunty is sometimes angry with her normal look but her Eyebrows go upside down like a triangle and her happy face starts to drip into 

an angry face as hard as a nail and my Aunty and Uncle fought like cats and dogs. One of my memories that I had with my Aunty is when we pay tag we laugh and laugh so much that we can’t stop laughing. It is special because I will never forget. We have so much fun outdoors.  One day I hope we can build a hut or a treehouse at her house. I love my Aunty.
